heat. Spray with cooking spray (or add a teaspoon of extra-virgin olive oil) and sear the chicken thighs until well browned on both sides, about 6-8 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cooked-single-direction cooked-direction\" data-step=\"Step 4\">\n<div class=\"cooked-dir-content\">\n<p>Transfer the chicken to the slow cooker.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cooked-single-direction cooked-direction\" data-step=\"Step 5\">\n<div class=\"cooked-dir-content\">\n<p>Add the can of tomatoes to the saut\u00e9 pan to deglaze it and use a spoon to scrape up any charred bits that are stuck on the bottom.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cooked-single-direction cooked-direction\" data-step=\"Step 6\">\n<div class=\"cooked-dir-content\">\n<p>Add the tomatoes, onion and green chilies to the slow cooker.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cooked-single-direction cooked-direction\" data-step=\"Step 7\">\n<div class=\"cooked-dir-content\">\n<p>Cover and cook on high for 3 hours.
